The UniGR-Center for Border Studies (UniGR-CBS) is hiring a postdoctoral researcher in its coordination unit at the University of Luxembourg.
The UniGR-CBS is an Interdisciplinary Competence Center of the University of the Greater Region (UniGR) and combines the expertise of the border researchers of its six partner universities. It has been contributing to the development of the Greater Region since 2014 and works on borders and border regions in Europe and beyond. The involved border researchers investigate socioeconomic and sociocultural issues and provide practice-oriented solutions for challenges in border regions. They cooperate with regional stakeholders and meet in interregional working groups, in which projects and research bases are developed. The border researchers are connected to an international scholar network and offer the tri-national "UniGR Master in Border Studies" with a spatial and cultural/linguistic specialization.
The UniGR-CBS coordination unit is located at the University of Luxembourg in the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE) in the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning.
