Fourth International Conference on Language Contact in Times of Globalization (LCTG4)
Greifswald, 16 - 18 March 2017
Language contact is a highly dynamic and variable phenomenon, which has become all the more relevant due to the extensive mobility and sociocultural changes of the 21st century.
After three successful meetings in Groningen (The Netherlands) and Greifswald (Germany), we are delighted to announce that the 'Fourth International Conference on Language Contact in Times of Globalization' (LCTG4) will again take place in Greifswald in 2017.
This event would not have been possible without the support of the German Science Foundation (DFG) and the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald as well as the numerous interesting paper proposals we received.
LCTG4 will bring together scholars examining language contact phenomena in different parts of the world. Moreover, six renowned keynote speakers will offer fresh insights from their current research.
This conference website will be continuously updated. If you have got any questions please do not hesitate to contact us via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We are looking forward to meeting you in Greifswald in March 2017!
Conference convenor: Chair in English Linguistics, University of Greifswald
