One day after the opening ceremony of the International Research Training Group “Baltic Borderlands: Shifting Boundaries of Mind and Culture in the Borderlands of the Baltic Sea Region”, this workshop brought together both junior and senior researchers from the participating universities of Greifswald, Lund and Tartu. The major focus was set on the presentation of the upcoming research topics of the doctoral students, divided into the three sections “Borders in the Context of Memory and Identity”, “Interaction and Reception in Border Areas” and “Institutional Borders and Cultural Patterns between Change and Inertia”. Additionally, important fundaments both in conceptual and organisational aspects were laid for the upcoming collaboration.
