Conference History

There have been three previous conferences focusing on the topic area of "Language Contact in Times of Globalization":

• 2006: LCTG1 (University of Groningen, The Netherlands)

• 2011: LCTG3 (University of Greifswald)
  Conference chair: Amei Koll-Stobbe (Chair in English Linguistics), co-organizer: Sebastian Knospe

In 2014, the Chair in English Linguistics at the University of Greifswald also organized the Summer School "Language Contact in Contemporary Europe", for which we received funding from the EU. We cooperated with the Chair in Slavic Linguistics and six Erasmus partners. For further information see here.
