Arrival by plane is possible via Hamburg or Berlin airports. From there you can travel to Greifswald via train or long distance coaches. It takes about 2,5 hours to travel from both cities to Greifswald.

Arriving via Train
We recommend our guests travel to Greifswald by train via Berlin. Berlin provides numerous high-speed connections to German cities and all the European regions. For the onward journey from Berlin to Greifswald you can take an intercity express (ICE), intercity train (IC) or a regional train (Regionalzug) provided by the Deutsche Bahn. The journey takes about 2 to 2.5 hours.

Further Links and Information on Greifswald

Welcome to the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald!

In addition to the lectures at our conference, Greifswald offers its visitors many sights and impressions. The Hanseatic heritage and its maritime flair characterise the city just as much as its modern science and lively culture. From our conference venue in the middle of Greifswald's old town, you can quickly reach the museum harbour and the Pomeranian State Museum on foot, for example. You will find further sights and excursion destinations in the city map (PDF) and on the Greifswald Info's website.
