Patents – Interesting and valuable knowledge: Inventions in the research process and beyond

In this event, the Verwertungsverband M-V (M-V Utilization Association) provides practical insight into the paths of research and technology utilization. The focus is on the entire process from invention disclosure to property rights registration, economic utilization, and possible transfer paths to application.

Participants will learn:

  • how scientific inventions are reported in a legally compliant manner,
  • which property rights, whether patents, utility models, trademarks, or designs, are relevant,
  • how patentability is examined and strategies for securing IP are developed,
  • what steps are necessary to successfully transfer research results,
  • and how universities, research institutions, and the M-V exploitation association provide support in this regard.

Whether you are a researcher, doctoral candidate, or employee at a scientific institution, this seminar provides a fundamental understanding of how ideas can be systematically protected, evaluated, and transformed into successful products, licenses, or spin-offs.

Participation is free of charge.
