Online lecture: Kazimierz Musial – “The relevance of Baltic Sea regionalism for Europe at critical junctures” (Paderborn Europe Lecture Series)

The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 marked a turning point in relations between Russia and the rest of the Baltic Sea region, among other things resulting in Sweden’s and Finland’s becoming members of the NATO.

The lecture will provide insights into current developments in the Baltic Sea region and place them in a historical perspective by discussing the identity shifts in the region against the background of other critical moments in the 1990s and 2000s.

Further information on the lecture as well as the link and ID code for the Zoom meeting can be found on the University of Paderborn’s webpage for European Studies. No pre-registration needed; everyone interested in the topic is welcome to join.
