Origin, catalyst, ending - Economic crises as an element of transformation in the Baltic Sea Region

In a conversation with Spiegel live editor Eva-Maria Schnurr, Prof. Michael North reflects on the perception and effects of economic crises. For centuries they have accompanied transformation processes and were also the origin of radical change through uprising and revolution but also innovation. Social discourses and new structures as well as mechanisms of resilience developed from the revolts. Crisis phenomena thus play an important role in the course of economic, political, social and cultural transformation processes.
